Hermantown Boys Basketball

Legendary Hermantown boys basketball coach Andy Fenske on the soaring Hawks (10-2 overall, 5-0 Lake Superior Conference): "Blake Schmitz and Abe Soumis have been our workhorses this year. Blake is averaging just shy of 20 points per game, 9.1 rebounds per game, 4.8 assists, and 4.2 steals per game as well. He's been a huge spark for us the last few years. Abe is also just shy of 20 points per game, pulling in 10 rebounds and just over three assists per game, as well. These two guys are usually leading the way, but they'll be the first to tell you that it's their teammates that put them into great spots to score. Our boys feed off of each other so well that it's not only entertaining to watch them move the ball as well as they do, but the boys are having fun with having so many offensive weapons on the court at one time."
