Hermantown girls track coach Madeline Armbruster on her 2025 team:
"We have a young team this year and many athletes trying track for the first time. We do have some returning upperclassmen with good experience who, are helping to lead the team in these first few weeks. I'm excited for many of the younger girls to learn more about track, improve and gain experience in the sport. I'm also excited to see what our upperclassmen will do this season with another year of experience under their belts. Most of our girls team was gone for spring break so we had mostly underclassmen at the meet. The meet was a great learning experience for many of the girls. Many got a feel for how a meet runs, how to warm up, what racing feels like, and got initial times or marks in their events. Freshman Kaija Markovich placed well at the meet with a 9th-place finish in the 55m and a 6th-place finish in the 200m."
