Hermantown will look to improve to 4-0 with a high school volleyball victory over visiting Proctor at 7 p.m. today.

"So far so good," said Hawks coach Jessica Williams of her team's impressive start, which includes

road victories over Duluth Marshall 3-0 and Duluth East 3-1 and a home win against Esko 3-1.

"This team is very dedicated and we play really well together," said Williams. "Claire Kaups is our strong outside hitter as well as Gabriella Arntson in the middle and Ella Schultz on the right side. With only three returning players from last season, I am pleasantly surprised at how solid we are so far. They work so hard in practice and we continue our growth every day."

The Hawks will continue their rugged regular schedule with nonconference road games at Greenway next Tuesday and Hibbing Thursday.

"Grand Rapids is always the team to beat so we are looking forward to playing them October 1 at home," said Williams.
