Supermileage 2024

The 2024 Hermantown Supermileage Team recently competed at the 35th annual Minnesota Technology and Engineering Educators Association (MTEEA) Supermileage Competition May 13-14 at the Brainerd International Raceway.

The Supermileage Competition is a yearly fuel-efficiency competition held to provide Career Technical Education students and MTEEA Clubs with a challenging project that allows practical experience in design, fabrication and testing.

Hermantown's first car logged 60+ miles of track during the two-day event and averaged about 140 miles per gallon, with a top run just shy of 154 mpg.

The Hawks' second car dealt with mechanical issues all day Monday, before blowing out their rear drive wheel, and were not able to register any legal scoring runs.
