Hermantown boys basketball coach Andy Fenske on the start of training camp next Monday, Nov. 20 – "We're anxious for the season to get started. It's always tough at this time as all other activities are going and some of us still need to wait to get to coach and work with our athletes. Knowing our guys, they're hungry to get out and start working towards March again. They're the type of players who are humble, yet hungry and, having success in the past, know what it takes to get there. We used the adage of 'what got you there won't keep you there' this summer and they know that they need to push themselves further than before. We have a strong core of guys who are leaders on and off the court. These young men are the foundation of the success of our season. To support them, we have a great group of younger guys who are out hunting for minutes. It's through this combination that we're setting up to have competitive practices day in and day out, and having to struggle to get enough minutes for all of our guys. And that's a great problem to have on our end."
