  • NHS Vice President - Ali Andrews

  • NHS Historian - Campbell Amundson

  • Class President - Elyana Hewitt

  • Class Vice President - Megan Gunderson

  • Class Treasurer - Norah Gunderson

NHS is a national network that runs through school chapters. The group is focused on excellence in academics along with character, leadership, and community service. Each member is required to complete 30 volunteer hours with a minimum of 15 from NHS-offered volunteer opportunities and NHS-run events. So far the group has helped out during the annual Taste of Hermantown on October 24, which offers culinary samples from area businesses. They have also helped with set up and tear down for Rotary’s Paul Harris Dinner on October 29. More school centered events include work at Hermantown Middle School’s Halloween evening event. The carnival included a variety of games such as a bean bag toss, monster muffin march, and duck pond. There was also face painting.

Coming up tomorrow on November 7, HHS will run a blood drive. Walk ups are accepted! Finally for the holiday season, NHS plans to run a movie night for the Elementary School. Watch out for more details!

Meanwhile senior class officers are responsible for working with administration, helping with the spring radio show, and working on planned senior class activities. They also speak at graduation as well as pick other speakers from the class. Congratulations to all and have a great senior year!
