Elementary Parent Drop Off & Pick Up Procedures

STUDENT DROP-OFF 
8:55 A.M. - 9:00 A.M. 
DRIVE THROUGH 
Safety Request:  Please refrain from using cell phones during drop-off. 
ALL PARENTS MUST USE THE DRIVE THROUGH PROCESS IF THEY ARE DROPPING STUDENTS OFF IN THE MORNING. 

  • Enter the East elementary parking lot from Ugstad Road. Please DO NOT enter using Arrowhead Road. Drive along the sidewalk. Pull forward to the end of the drop-off area so that cars behind you can also move forward and traffic can flow smoothly and efficiently. 

  • Students should always exit the vehicle on the sidewalk side/passenger side. Please let your child out along the sidewalk. You do not need to wait until you are in front of the door.

  • School staff members will open the school doors only for students when they approach doors 2 and 4.  Adults are only allowed to enter the building by using door 1 and the secure entrance through the office. Parents are not allowed to walk students to class. 

  • If your child arrives after 9:05 AM, please park your car in the East parking lot and escort your child to the secure entrance/office on the South (front) side of the school. 

  • The morning playground time starts at 8:45 AM. Your child/ren will walk to the front playground and then be dismissed to class at 8:55 AM. Anyone arriving at 8:55 AM or after will go straight to class.

STUDENT PICK-UP 
3:25 P.M. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday  
2:55 P.M. Wednesday
DRIVE THROUGH 
Safety Request: Please refrain from using cell phones during pick-up. 
ALL CAREGIVERS MUST USE THE DRIVE THROUGH PROCESS IF THEY ARE PICKING KIDS UP AT DISMISSAL TIME. 

  • When you arrive for pick up, you will park in the High School’s Auditorium Parking Lot and wait until 3:25 PM (except Wednesday's release at 2:55 PM).

  • At 3:25 PM (2:55 PM on Wednesday), you will be able to proceed out of the parking lot to the pick up line. 

  • Another option is to park at the Bus Garage Parking Lot or the parking lot in front of the Auxiliary Gym at the High School, and walk to the Elementary School to pick up your child. Your child must walk back with you-we won’t send them on their own to meet you. 

  • You will no longer be able to park on any road in or around campus to wait for pick up to begin. This includes Hawk Circle Drive, Ugstad Road, and Arrowhead Road. There is no access to parent pick up from Arrowhead Road. 

  • It is helpful if you put your child’s last name in the passenger window or on the dashboard.

  • Please pull way ahead or park if you have to get out of the vehicle to buckle in your child after they have entered the car.

We encourage you to have your child ride the bus to and from school.
