Class AAA Quarterfinals vs. No. 1 Delano - L, 3-0 (25-15, 25-20, 25-10)

Despite a gritty performance, the No. 8 Hermantown Volleyball Team fell to No. 1 Delano, 3-0 (25-15, 25-20, 25-10), in the MSHSL Class AAA Quarterfinals at the Xcel Energy Center Wednesday night.

Seniors Hope Kohanski and Gabi Arntson led the Hawks with nine kills and six kills, respectively, while fellow senior Claire Kaups added 17 digs.

Class AAA Consolation Semifinals vs. No. 4 Mahtomedi - L, 3-0 (25-22, 25-14, 25-23)

The No. 8 Hermantown Volleyball Team's incredible 2024 season came to an end Friday morning at the MSHSL Volleyball Class AAA State Tournament as it fell to No. 4 Mahtomedi, 3-0 (25-22, 25-24, 25-23), in the consolation semifinals at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minn.

Ella Schulz had a double-double with a team-high 13 assists and 15 digs for the Hawks, while adding six kills. Gabi Arntson paced Hermantown offensively with eight kills and Claire Kaups chipped in six kills in the contest.

Hermantown closed out the season with a 24-7 overall record, a Lake Superior Conference title and a Section 7AAA Championship crown.
